For this reason, we work exclusively with qualified professionals that have a degree in childcare and experience in the field. All our nannies go through a rigorous selection process and their professional references, training certificates and criminal records are verified.

MyBabysitter is a company created by a kindergarten teacher that emerged from the love of education and childcare and is based on two pillars:

What additional insurance do we need?

We recommend that parents be sure that their nanny has public liability insurance in place before they commence work. All policies should provide coverage in the event of an incident occurring while the nanny is carrying out her professional duties, with a limit of indemnity of not less than £1M. MyBabysitter® thoroughly vets candidates through a rigorous screening process, but accidents can and do happen, and insurance should be in place to cover anything that may happen to your children in the care of a nanny or babysitter. As an employer, you are legally required to be covered (£5 million minimum) by employers’ liability insurance (for injury or disease) and to provide a safe workplace to your nanny.

How long can the recruitment process take?

Each nanny request is unique according to your location and required profile. Once your request is processed, we’ll post a job listing and start interviewing nannies for your position. We will then recommend two nannies for an interview with you. This process can take a few weeks.

What is the screening process you undertake on your nannies?

All of our nannies have enhanced criminal background checks or appropriate international police checks as well as first-aid training (full-time, long-term positions). All our nannies have been interviewed by our CEO. They will have relevant child related experience and childcare qualifications with reference checks (letters or contacts). We pride ourselves in providing our families with the highest calibre of professional nannies.
